The Holy Spirit continues to call men and women to seek the truth of Christ that leads to full communion with the Catholic Church. You are invited to join us in this journey as we dive into the beauty, heart, and depths of the Church! We can’t wait to welcome and walk with you on your journey deeper into the love of Christ Himself.

WHAT IS CHRISTIAN INITIATION?
The Order of Christian Initiation refers to the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist (Holy Communion) through which one becomes a full member of the Christian community, the Catholic Church. These sacraments are celebrated at the Easter Vigil or during the Easter season.
WHAT IS INVOLVED IN OCIA?
The OCIA program consists of weekly meetings throughout the year from October to Easter where questions about the Catholic Church, Church practices and matters of Faith are discussed.
We invite all OCIA participants to pray daily and to attend Mass on a regular basis in order to experience the wonder and mystery of the Catholic Church.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Anyone who is interested in joining or learning more about the Catholic Church is welcome at Saint Joseph’s OCIA. This includes those who are unbaptized, baptized in another Christian Church, or baptized in the Catholic Church but have never received Eucharist or Confirmation. This year we also specifically encourage those who are already Catholic and have received all their sacraments to join us as well, either to learn anew or accompany those who are on the journey home, into the Catholic Church.
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
OCIA will take place on Tuesday nights from 7:00 to 8:30pm in the Great Room. If you have not already done so, email Nicole Tekippe at: [email protected] to get signed up and receive more info.
