Saint Joseph's Young Adults (SJYA) is a is a community of young adults, ages 18-39, dedicated to forming Christ-centered, life-giving relationships that combat and heal the culture of isolation.
Our mission is to be a place of authenticity where we can receive God’s love and give of ourselves. We live out this mission by offering events in three areas: Spiritual, Service, and Social.
YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY: WAKING PILGRIMAGE Saturday, April 25 · Beginning at 7:15am All young adults are invited to join our YA Ministry on a 6.3 mile pilgrimage from Saint Joseph Catholic Church to the Historic Church of Saint Peter in Mendota. Check in will begin at 7:15am, departure will be at 8:00am. We’ll participate in a Holy Hour and Mass at Saint Peter, followed by lunch at Lucky 13’s Pub. Sign-up is encouraged to help with planning, but not required. Sign-up now!
YOUNG ADULT PRAYER & LISTENING SESSION Tuesday, May 5 · 6:30 to 9pm (Social hour at 5:30pm) Cathedral of Saint Paul, Saint Paul This prayer and listening session for young adults will begin with music, lectio divina, and a few words from Archbishop Bernard Hebda. Attendees will then engage in small group conversations, followed by a time to share feedback with Archbishop Hebda in a large group setting. Young adults are invited to pray, listen and share as the Archdiocese discerns next steps to support local young adult ministry.
